Work That Is Hands-on

"Three months after graduating high school I started at NASSCO. It was exactly what I was looking for. It was a chance to take what I'd been doing in school and put my hands to work. It was kind of love at first sight. I love the challenge of designing or improving a process to make it easier. I enjoy being able to show someone how to work smarter without sacrificing quality. Working safe and working smart is just as important as the quality of your skills."

A Master Shipbuilder

Few individuals in the shipbuilding industry are recognized as Master Shipbuilders. Bill was awarded the title Master Shipbuilder in 2009 after 40 years of continuous service with NASSCO.
